Surfer's Paradise in North Devon with English Country Cottages

Hello and welcome to my blog post about my little surf trip to North Devon. I took my wife and two kids to a beautiful little cottage just off the North Devon coast which had great access to two of the UK's best surfing beaches - Woolacombe and Croyde. We stayed in Instow with help from English Country Cottages to find the best location and it couldn't have been more perfect...
I packed my camera and water housing and headed straight out to the sea. The week we chose to go on holiday decried to be a heatwave too which was a nice little bonus! Being in the sea with 29 degree sunshine with a nice little rolling wave couldn't get much better! Life is good!!
This is Woolacombe as the early morning sea mist rises.

Here are a few photos from the local Croyde surfers and longboarders.

Here is the view of Saunton Sands Beach - not a bad view on the way to Croyde!

And when the waves are gone for a few days, there is always paddleboarding and kayaking to be done!

Here is a good old fashioned selfie waiting between sets...
We were lucky enough to stay in a beautiful two bedroom cottage in Instow, just outside Barnstaple. We were situated 20 mins from Croyde, Woolacombe and Saunton Sands beaches which host the best surfing beaches Devon has to offer.

Thanks again to English Country Cottages for the accommodation and I hope this helps with anyone deciding on where to stay should they wish to visit the best of surfing in England!
